Our Transitions and Tours

Prospective pupils, tours and admissions.

PLEASE NOTE: TO ATTEND THE MENDIP SCHOOL, YOUR CHILD MUST HAVE AN EHCP AND DIAGNOSIS OF ASD OR SLCN.

Our PAN: 150. Our pupil number on roll can changes weekly.

We do not currently provision by year group but instead allocate places based on need and whether or not we could meet the needs of your child in an age appropriate group.  At the moment we are full across the school but are considering places for some class (usually lower primary) dependent on whether we would be able to meet their needs.

The consultation process must take place through the Local Authority, we would be unable to identify through a conversation with yourself whether or not we would be able to meet the needs of a child or young person. Once we receive the consultation pack from the Local Authority we are given 15 days to review the documentation and make a decision, the school would notify the Local Authority of the decision.  At this point it is up to the Local Authority to agree the most appropriate placement and notify parents/carers.  We are unable to accept any documents not provided by the Local Authority as they should hold all the relevant information, reports and assessment for each child.

Name and contact details (email and phone) for parent/carer’s / Name and age of child / Childs diagnosis / Stage of consultation (are you just looking around or in contact with Local Authority)

We hold tour on the following time slots, please let us know your preference: Mondays at 1:15pm / Tuesdays at 9:30am / Tuesdays at 1:15pm

We please ask that no more than 2 parents/carers attend the tour and where possible children are not brought along. Thank you for your understanding.

Please note tours are unavailable during the last two weeks of each term.
