Sycamore Class
In Sycamore class, we have 8 boys and 3 girls, in years 7, 8 & 9.
We focus on building and maintaining positive relationships, working together and showing respect to ourselves and others. In lessons, we aim to work hard and always give our best to reach our full potential. The class work hard on learning, developing and applying skills they are learning that will support them in future education, employment and general day to day living.
Sycamore class are a ready to learn group and pupils are consistently engaging in whole class, small groups and 1:1 learning to support their progression academically. We place a big emphasis on creating a positive environment that can be supportive to ensuring that all learners can achieve and the pupils showing that they can be respectful of each other’s needs and difference to support this. We strive to be the best version of ourselves.

Hi I’m Kate, I am the new teacher for Sycamore Class. I have been working at the Mendip school since September and I am throughly enjoying being part of the Mendip team. I really enjoy working with children and young people and I love being able to adapt the learning to suit each individual child’s needs. Outside of school I enjoy swimming, walking and spending time with my family and friends.

Hi, I’m Matt. I’ve been working at the school for 4 years. I’ve worked with a myriad of age groups and classes. In my spare time I enjoy running, geeky stuff like games and technology and spending time with friends and family.
