Indigo Class

Indigo Class

We are a Secondary Life skills Class we have a balance of academic and life skills activities.  We start everyday with lots of fun sensory activities to help regulate us for the day.  We love participating in Attention Autism and getting messy in our THRIVE sessions.  We participate in mindfulness and yoga every day after lunch and we’re getting very good at the yoga positions! We like to go out every week on trips into the local community and particularly enjoy visiting the library, charity shops, Tescos and parks.  One of our favourite sessions is going out on Wellie Walks especially if it involves mud or rivers!
We have a class cafe everyday where we have to pay for our snacks and drinks.  We take it in turns to take the orders and then make the hot and cold drinks independently.  We each then wash up afterwards and clean our own tables.
We focus on cookery skills and following simple recipe independently in our Food Technology sessions, we are hoping to do some work experience in our school cafe too!
