Green Class
Green class are a KS3 class with children in years 7 – 9. We always start our day with a walk around the Golden Mile, followed by Zones of Regulation where we talk about our feelings, share our news and listen to our class book. Green class are a ready to learn class who follow our formal curriculums preparing them for key stage 3 and 4. Green class are thinking about their options for when they finish at The Mendip School and enjoy exploring our local community. Every day we have snack time, quiet reading, and we look forward to our two sessions of Reward Time.
Jo Blakeney-Edwards
Class Teacher
Jo has been teaching for more years than she’d care to remember, mainly in mainstream primary schools. She started working at the Mendip School four years ago, and is passionate about helping our young people reach their potential. She has recently taken on Music Leadership and is looking forward to promoting music as a subject across the school. She has three children of her own, one of whom attended Fosseway School, and in her spare time she enjoys racing historic cars, walking and writing fiction.
