Ash Class

Ash Class are a mainly primary class made up of pupils from year 4 to 7. We are a ready to learn class, developing our skills academically, whilst continuing to build upon on life skills to support us for the future.

Izzy Wareham

Class Teacher

Hi, I’m Izzy. I’m a first-year ECT and thrilled to be starting this exciting new chapter in education. I’m passionate about watching children learn and grow, and I love being able to help make a positive difference in their lives. Outside the classroom, I enjoy staying active through sport, spending quality time with family and friends, and relaxing at home with my cat.

Helen Gifford

Class Teaching Assistant

Hi, I’m Helen. I live in Wells with my husband and my 2 dogs. I have 3 grown up children. 1 is married and the other 2 are at university. I used to work as a children’s nurse and then a health visitor. Now I volunteer as an Emergency Responder with St John Ambulance, so I go to lots of local events to provide first aid. I like reading and crochet, and I love wearing dungarees!

Zara Adams

I started working at the Mendip school in 2018. I’ve worked in various different classes and have adored each year. I love nature walks, horse riding & reading books. I am super excited to see what this year brings.

Bruna Da Silva

Hi, my name is Bruna and I am a dance teacher outside of Mendip School. I have a strong background in dance and creative movement, and experience supporting pupils in school settings, including those with SEN. I am passionate about creating a calm, inclusive environment where children feel safe, confident, and supported.
