Aqua Class
AQUA CLASS
In Aqua class we have eight children ranging from Year 4 to Year 6 which focuses on academic learning as well as life skills activities. In Aqua class we take part in the Mendip Mile, we use the sensory room, we work on our attention and listening skills through Attention Autism ‘Bucket’ sessions and we go out on trips on the minibus. Alongside our learning, we also have time to develop our social skills, through playing games and having space to use our imagination. These opportunities allow us to develop our turn taking and sharing skills and help us to make friends with each other. We also take part in lots of Thrive activities which include making playdoh, mindful colouring and playing games to ensure that our pupils are emotionally ready to learn and happy to be coming to school.
Our Staff
Angela has been teaching for 12 years, firstly in primary mainstream schools as a SENCo and latterly at TMS as English Lead. She loves teaching children of all ages and her aim is to encourage every child to achieve their potential, both academically and socially. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family (her husband and three grown up children), reading, exploring and yoga.
