Aqua Class

In Aqua class we have ten children, ranging from Year 3 to Year 5.  We are all inquisitive and like to ask lots of questions about the wider world. Every week we take part in a variety of curriculum subject areas and have also enjoyed mindfulness on a Tuesday afternoon. In Aqua class we like be active, taking part in daily GoNoodle and Mendip Mile sessions, as well as embracing Yoga and relaxation. Alongside our learning, we also have time to develop our social skills, through playing games and having space to use our imagination. These opportunities have allowed us to develop our turn taking and sharing skills.

AQUA CLASS

In Aqua class we have eight children ranging from Year 4 to Year 6 which focuses on academic learning as well as life skills activities. In Aqua class we take part in the Mendip Mile, we use the sensory room, we work on our attention and listening skills through Attention Autism ‘Bucket’ sessions and we go out on trips on the minibus. Alongside our learning, we also have time to develop our social skills, through playing games and having space to use our imagination. These opportunities allow us to develop our turn taking and sharing skills and help us to make friends with each other. We also take part in lots of Thrive activities which include making playdoh, mindful colouring and playing games to ensure that our pupils are emotionally ready to learn and happy to be coming to school.
