We will be celebrating the Queens Jubilee with a Fete at The Mendip School.Parents and families are invited to enjoy the day with us from 11am – 2pm on the 27th May 22. It’s been such a long time since hosting an event like this so it would be great to see as many families here as possible. We have a range of workshops and activities throughout the day to take part in and enjoy.Students will receive a lunch of burgers, sausages, chips, and ice cream free of charge. Alternatively, you can send in a packed lunch with your child. Please do not book a meal on Parent Pay for this day. Refreshments and lunch will be available to purchase for family members and visitors.Students will receive 3 tokens each to spend on our stalls. If you would like your child to have extra tokens cash can be exchanged for this – Please send a labelled envelope with your child on the day. Each token is equivalent to 50p with proceeds going towards playground equipment. Secondary students took part in a Dragon’s Den event last month and will be running the stalls they designed on the day. Judging will take place on the day and the winning stall will receive £100 toward a trip.Raffle tickets are £1 each – These will be sent home, if you wish to purchase them, please complete the required information on the ticket and return the slips with the exact money. Please return any unused raffle tickets. Raffle tickets will also be available to purhase on the day. We have an amazing range of prizes and hampers including a 3-night holiday in Devon courtesy of Shepton Mallet Vets. Please note some prizes contain alcohol and will need collecting from the school office.Please feel free to bring a picnic and a picnic blanket if you wish.

You are welcome to take your child home with you at this time. Please make your child’s teacher aware if you will be taking your child instead of their usual transport and ensure you sign out at the front office. Please notify transport if your child does not require it on that day.
