This week is National Careers Week and each day at the Mendip School we are looking at different careers centred on different areas.  Each day there will be informative and fun activities in class and for the whole school to take part in.

Monday sees us looking at careers with a strong maths focus.  On Tuesday vocational careers take centre stage and we have Little City in school to engage our primary level pupils in role play, Little City (littlecityuk.com).  On Wednesday we have an exciting day of workshop activities and demonstrations with the Science Professors team, part of Spark2Education.  Thursday is World Book Day and the careers subject topic for the day will be English.  We are having a pyjama day themed book day – pupils can wear pyjamas or comfy clothes.  Other costumes are OK, as well as staying in school uniform if preferred.  Friday focusses on Employability and is aimed at KS4 and KS5 pupils with a talk being given by a member of staff from The Department of Work and Pensions
