TMS Endeavour 2 Achieve!

Pupils from year 11 have spent a day at Endeavour 2 Achieve today.  A home set up specifically for pupils with a diagnosis of ASD.

Endeavour is an uniquely hireable furnished 4 bedroom holiday let property, set up by a family who have 2 adult sons with autism and learning disabilities who wanted to offer local families more choice.

It provides a natural homely setting in which individuals or a small group can:

  • Take a short break
  • Use the house for Day opportunity activities to informally review their independent living skills in a non educational setting
  • Practice ‘living together’ to check out compatibility before committing to a binding tenancy.

We are really grateful to the team behind Endeavour to Achieve, and look forward to working with them in the future.  You can find out more by visiting their website.

London Calling for TMS Students!

Twenty-four young anglers from across the UK were recognised at the House of Commons yesterday (15 November) in the Fishing for Schools Champions Awards.

Of those twenty-four, two were from our school.  Jack Care-Slade and Natasha Harris, both from Pink class.

Fishing for Schools is an initiative run by The Countryside Alliance Foundation, the charitable arm of the Countryside Alliance. It provides short angling courses to schools across the country, to aid the education of 12 to 18-year-olds who may not respond to traditional classroom-based learning but flourish when you get them outside onto the water. It celebrates its tenth anniversary this year.
