TMS from the clouds!

On Tuesday 2nd July one of our year 10 pupils, Cameron Szarmach treated us to a fly by in a plane that he was piloting!

Cameron wants to join the RAF when he leaves school.  He has a massive passion for planes and from what we saw yesterday, has all the potential to be a great pilot.

Below are a few shots and videos of the day, as well as a link to the Radio interview he and his class teacher Becca did about Cam’s passions and his time at the Mendip School.

Yellow Class in the Kitchen!

Here are some lovely photos of Yellow class working in Food Technology this week.  It looks like lots of teamwork is taking place, and brilliant communication.  Well done guys!!

3MG go Camping

The Mendip School have gone camping mad this week. Classes have been testing out the new tents in the hall in appalling conditions! 3MG had to cope with some torrential downpours with thunder and lightning but luckily managed to stay dry. We will be practicing camping skills during PE lessons this term as part of an ‘Outdoor and Adventurous’ programme of activities.

3TL – A trip to Stony Lane Stables

On Friday 24th March, members of 3TL went to Stony Lane Stables to visit the newly born lambs.  Whilst they were there, they also saw some horses, ponies and chickens.  Some pupils were even brave enough to handle the animals!!

Well done to everyone who got involved, and a special thankyou to Annabelle Taylor’s family who allowed this to happen.

We are delighted to announce that we now have a member of staff trained in the Thrive approach and using it daily with pupils.  Congratulations Serena on all your hard work!
